Made from a real caterpillar specimen, this pendant is a piece that represents growth and change (and also it just looks cool).

Starting with a naturally deceased dried caterpillar, the first mold gave me a baseline to work from. Specimens like this will naturally sink in a bit as they dry so I shot wax in the first mold, sculpted out the sunken areas to make them look nice and juicy again, and repaired the areas where the legs hadn’t taken to the mold correctly. Then another mold was made of that finished wax and that’s what I’m using to make these pieces!
